Acting Finance and Administrative Deputy Minister of Economy meets with the United Nations Representatives in Kandahar

while H.E Hamid Hamdard, Acting Finance and Administrative Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Economy was accompanied by H.E Hayatullah Hayat, governor of Kandahar province and H.E Ahmad Riaz Sediqi, Director of Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) at the Ministry of Economy, he met with the official representatives of different sectors of United Nations in Kandahar. In the beginning, the representatives of the Foreign Humanitarian NGOs down in Kandahar, expressed their readiness to provide winter humanitarian aids, readiness for the second wave of COVID 19 and willingness to implement the polio vaccine campaign. Further, they expressed their willingness to reach out to IDPs in Helmand and Kandahar provinces and continuation of development projects in the southern zone of Afghanistan.

Taking the time, Mr. Hamdard thanked them for their comprehensive cooperation in sustainable development and reducing the vulnerability of the people to the existing threats. In the meantime, Mr. Hamdard stressed on balanced, appropriate and timely development projects in the southern provinces of Afghanistan and on strengthening of coordination with the government.
