Acting Minister of Economy Alhaj Qari Din Muhammad "Hanif" met with the Deputy Director of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Mrs. Gillian Triggs and her delegation on Tuesday, the 12th of Shawwal 1402. Mrs. Gillian Triggs informed the leadership of the Ministry of Economy about the activities of her respective agencies in Afghanistan and mentioned that the provision of all-around security in Afghanistan has led to the expansion of the activities of this organization. During her visit to Bamiyan province, she expressed her happiness with the warm welcome of the people of this province and also she visited a number of projects of this agency, which include the completion of a school building, the renovation of a youth social center, and a two-year midwifery program. Also, they are planning to build a shelter for 144 internally displaced families in this province and they assured the head of the Ministry of Economy about this.
The head of the Ministry of Economy while appreciating the actions of the (UNHCR) office listened to the recommendations of the mentioned delegation and promised to cooperate in the implementation of the projects of this organization throughout the country.
